As I'm sure you all know, Brian shoots for the Cleveland Browns. He loves it, and he's great at it, wait until you see his pics below.
Sports photography, not really my thing. I think it's tough. Running up and down the field with a big ass lens and two to three other cameras strapped to you, trying to get the shot... the money shot. Oh and try not to get trampled on by a player that comes barreling into the sideline, who, by the way, doesn't care about your camera or you for that matter, he has to make the play! Which I get it but, really? Does that sound fun?
Yes, Shooting for the Cleveland Browns is extremely fun! Growing up I always loved playing sports. My goal was to become a professional athlete but that never happened. So with that said just being around the players is so much fun. It's like I did make it to the pro's just on the other side of the ball as a professional NFL photographer. Tell this day I still feel that rush and get the same chills I did when I used to play ball. By the way, I have front row seats to all the home games. I feel very blessed!!!
If you have ever tried to shoot your child's sporting event, you know what I'm talking about. You pretty much miss the game because your face is plastered to the small little circle called the viewfinder. You're waiting for a miraculous play to happen, that's usually not even in your angle of view. Then you get all mad at yourself. Hmmm I might be speaking from experience on that. Just enjoy the game, be in the moment. Let the pro's like Brian capture the game for you :)
Here is Brian's perspective on Sports photography -
I love shooting for Brown's. It's not that hard, it just takes experience, patience and ya a bit of strength that Cheryl lacks :)
And what an awesome year I had to photograph the Cleveland Browns in 2018! With the coaching changes made midway through the season, the Browns were able to come together as a team and finish the last 8 games very strong going 5-3. The Browns finally have a franchise quarterback with Baker Mayfield leading the team. They are one of the youngest teams in the NFL with very talented weapons surrounding Baker Mayfield. Unfortunately, the Browns didn’t make the playoffs. Let's see what this year's draft brings with John Dorsey running the show for the second time. As of right now, the Cleveland Browns are heading in the right direction going from 0-16 to 7-8-1. We can’t wait to see what the Browns bring to the table in 2019!!
Hey Brian, I'm stronger than you think!!!!
Hey Cheryl, You're so FUNNY. Luv the way you did this blog!! Great job, Nice Links as well!!
